What are veneers

Veneers are wafer-thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front surfaces of the tooth to improve their cosmetic appearance. They are a very conservative treatment and preserve as much natural tooth tissue as possible. The preparation for a veneer would remove approximately 15% of the tooth but a crown would be nearer 50%.
